After femoral neck fracture, how to prevent and early discover femoral head necrosis? Keep these five points in mind

in clinical practice, femoral neck fractures often occur in the elderly. With the prolongation of life span, the incidence rate of them is increasing. Especially with the aging of the population, femoral neck fracture has become a serious social problem. Clinically, there are two main problems in the treatment of femoral neck fracture: nonunion and avascular necrosis of femoral head. Review X-ray film and magnetic resonance imaging every half a year, for the treatment of femoral neck fracture and evaluation of curative effect, can not only observe fracture healing, even if fracture healing, should be followed up to 5 years after injury. If there are slight collapse, sclerotic zone and cystic change of the femoral head on X-ray film, it shows that there are signs of necrosis of the femoral head. Therefore, we should actively take measures such as core decompression to prevent its further development. It is not suitable to carry weight too early. From the point of view of fracture healing, weight-bearing can be basically carried out after 16 weeks. However, due to the late occurrence of femoral head necrosis, weight-bearing should be reduced for 1-1.5 years. Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is a common disease leading to hip joint disability. Without regular treatment, 60% 85% of patients with non traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head can develop bilateral disease within 2 years, and 80% of patients will have femoral head collapse and hip osteoarthritis in 24 years. Dead bone: under the load of physiological strength, fatigue fracture will occur as long as the load cycle is short. Of course, the collapse of femoral head structure depends on the location, size and morphology of osteonecrosis. The smaller damage in the femoral head is not easy to collapse, and the strength of the femoral head will not be seriously affected after repair. CUISINE&HEALTH
