The number of online classes is increasing or more Chinese students are nearsighted. According to data from the Ministry of education, from the end of last year to June this year, the growth rate of myopia in primary and secondary schools in nine provinces reached 11.7%, which is not optimistic. The results showed that in the past six months, the myopia rate of primary school students increased by 15.2%, that of junior high school students increased by 8.2%, and that of high school students increased by 3.8%. The results showed that the growth rate of myopia was 45.8% when the duration of using eyes was less than 1 hour, 49.3% from 1 hour to 2.5 hours, 65.4% from 1.5 to 4 hours, and 75.7% over 4 hours. For non learning purposes, the growth rate of myopia of electronic products is basically consistent with the above data. The Ministry of Education said it would take various measures, including requiring primary and secondary school students to exercise one hour a day and control the length of online learning.
